A couple of notices:
You will need a packed lunch on Saturday
We are NUT FREE this year again please think about snacks and food you may buy or bring.
If you have not already, you can update OSM with contact details

you need to pre-register/get permission from parents for <16yrs for Karting
you need to fill in the gliding permission form (electronically is fine)
The showers onsite empty into a reedbed filtration system, in order not to kill the wildlife and the bugs that break down the dirty in the water you need to use Sanex zero shampoo/shower gell not anything more exotic, some will be provided but if you can bring your own...
Please bring with you a white garment that you would like to tie-dye, it needs to be cotton or the dye won't stick, t-shirt or similar would be perfect
There are a couple of small changes from the advertised program, hopefully, we are adding climbing and archery
Explorer camps are more relaxed than Scout camp, there are no patrol tents, colours, or inspections (assuming you are not living in a tip) and we cook and eat together in a marquee, with one group of explorers responsible for cooking with a leader for the whole group each day. We tend to do a mix of our own activities and brought in activities like sailing and paddle sports. In the past that has included; White water rafting, Go Karting, Mountain biking, Archery, Surfing lessons, mountaineering and others.
We tend to visit shops on the way back from places and travel by minibus.
Explorer Type Camping
Silly Games in the Marquee
Communal Dining
We will meet at the new HQ at 9 am on the 26th of August and will aim to return at 5 pm on the 2nd of September.
We have booked in, GoKarting, Mini Golf, Skytrail and Lagoon Wipeout. Friday afternoon we will be flying high in the gliders. In Between we will be walking and boating.
The week will cost £260. The deposit (£100) was due on the 1st of May.
We need the balance by 1st August, you are welcome to pay it in one lump on that date via OSM or transfer beforehand in smaller amounts if you like(please make it a while before so we can stop the DD for that transaction).
Please let us know about any allergies/intollerances/strong dislikes (eg won't eat x if Y is in it...)
This years camp will need to be nut free, please think carefully before buying any snacks while we are out etc
During the week we will be doing, gliding, walking, sailing, canoeing and possibly powerboating (depending on what boats exactly they have). you will need:

We do not restrict explorers from bringing phones to Explorer events but have some rules/understandings:
your phone, your problem; Flat, lost, broken etc...
No photos in tents/toilets etc
If there is an emergency/accident the only person you may contact without permission is 999. no phoning parents/friends etc without the express permission of the leader in charge.
no phones when we are trying to get jobs done.. washing up takes priority over your insta..
This is the draft program for the week.
This is the general idea for layout of the site
