Explorer camps are more relaxed than Scout camp, there are no patrol tents, colours, or inspections (assuming you are not living in a tip) and we cook and eat together in a marquee, with one group of explorers responsible for cooking with a leader for the whole group each day. We tend to do a mix of our own activities and brought in activities like sailing and paddle sports. In the past that has included; White water rafting, Go Karting, Mountain biking, Archery, Surfing lessons, mountaineering and others.
We tend to visit shops on the way back from places and travel by minibus.

There are some recommendations on the scout camp website which may be useful here
We do not restrict explorers from bringing phones to Explorer events but have some rules/understandings:
your phone, your problem; Flat, lost, broken etc...
No photos in tents/toilets etc
If there is an emergency/accident the only person you may contact without permission is 999. no phoning parents/friends etc without the express permission of the leader in charge.
no phones when we are trying to get jobs done.. washing up takes priority over your insta..
This is the draft program for the week.
This is the general idea for layout of the site
